Concept Paper Proto Type Power ATM from Indusind
Bank
Load
ATM , existing Power consumptions
350 W to 500 W
CFL 11 Watts 4 Nos
Operation time: 4/6 Hrs.
Existing Operations:
ATM is connected to UPS ( 2/5 KVA)
Solutions to be proposed:
Solar Grid Hybrid Solutions to Power the ATM machine
UPS with 48 volts DC and Static Byepass for output
to be connected to the existing UPS
Operations:
The Solar power will charge the
battery, and battery bank will support the ATM, post
the battery is discharged the static bye pass switch
to the original UPS. The Solar UPS will be charged
through solar and Grid depending on the
availability.

Solar energy has been the source of power for our
civilization. We now have commercial applications to
harness this vast ocean of solar energy. We call it
the “Celebration of
Abundance”
Autonic Solar UPS is the product to replace the
conventional use of fossil fuel in the form of
Diesel Generators to generate power.
Solar UPS or SUPS is a microprocessor based UPS with
built-in Solar charge controller.
The SUPS will harness the power generated by Sun
using Solar Photovoltaic Modules. The generate
energy is stored in the batteries. The battery acts
as a reservoir of energy, designed to deliver power
to the Solar UPS in event of failure of the main
source or per determined time.
The System has the ability to store and transmit
power generated from the solar photovoltaic cells.
The operations can substitute or augment power
source and deliver uninterrupted power supply to the
ATM.

Photovoltaic Modules generated power is used
as input for UPS |
|

|
The Output is
similar to conventional UPS pure sine wave |
|

|
The system is programmable and user
friendly. The user can set a time to run on
operates on realtime and has two levels of
operation,
- Timer Based ( switch to solar UPS on timer
operation)
- Trigger, in case of power failure the
system will switch to UPS.
- Static By-pass like devices to switch to
ups incase of low battery and non
availability of grid. |
|

|
The system will
also have alarms or alert to indicated
battery low and a signal indicating the
start of Generator ( Any kind), ability to
support the generator. |
Operation
The Solar UPS is designed to power the ATM for 8 hrs
operations. Based on trigger, or failure of power
alternatively on timer.
The
timer has a real time clock with easy programmable
option to set the time based on the usage.

Techno-Economics:
The
Solar UPS will generate approx 5926.4 watts, or 6
units of power.
The energy saved will be 1980 KW hrs per annum. And
Reduction of CO2 by 1942 Kgs
The Saving will be approx. Rs. 60.00/day in case of
commercial user with grid power supply and Rs.
120.00 in case of solar energy substituting diesel
generator.
This will translate to Rs. 20100.00 savings per
annum using grid or Rs. 40,200.00 for diesel
generators.
Go
Green
Indusind
Bank will reduce the carbon footprint by 1942 kgs of
CO2 / every year for next 20 year. The solution is
an effort to go green with technical and financial
viability.
